Washington Karate Featured in Kung Fu HD Network Ads

Check out these amazing video ads by Superfad for the Kung Fu HD Network. After going down the list of Seattle martial arts schools in the Yellow Pages, Superfad was ready to give up their search for martial artists, not to mention competent and responsive martial arts schools that could actually communicate well. Fortunately, Sensei Matt Day at the WKA, last on the alphabetized list, came through. Several Ballard Dojo karateka auditioned and impressed the Superfad crew with their professionalism, skill, and agility. Ultimately, Superfad selected Paul Gutierrez, who, like his fellow karateka embodied all of the physical elements desired, but also had "the right look." Sensei Day provided karate technical guidance on the set, and Superfad filmed the action using a Phantom HD camera which has been used in spectacular HD footage such as that seen in the Discovery Channel's Planet Earth series. In the final video, photographer Chase Jarvis goes behinds the scenes with Superfad to discuss the making of the videos, and some of the artwork he generated from this project are shown below.
